The lid is a metal detected find, but I’m not quite sure what it is. There is a recessed screw thread in the centre. The decoration suggests 19th century and looks like vine leaves and grapes. There is a slight sparkle to the surface on the original piece, which almost seems to be diamond dust from the diamond fruits hanging from the tree.
