I have been buying a lot of mother of pearl for the exhibition Invisible Landscapes. Chinese gaming chips usually come covered in decoration. What appealed to me about these three (the central one was cut in half), was that they had a simple engraved line around the edge. The top segment is 18ct gold with a diamond bead in the centre.
